Kakani Nuwakot district

Kakani is a small village on a ridge (2073m) some 30 kilometers north of Kathmandu. You can reach the village by cycling (or taking a bus/taxi) the road towards Dhunche/Trisuli Bazaar from Balaju.
On a clear morning or afternoon mountain views are wonderful. Besides that you can hike in the surroundings, practices wall climbing at the climbing wall of the Nepal Mountaineering Association or make a mountain bike trip back to Kathmandu via the Shivapuri National Park and Budhanilkantha.
