Triveni Ghat Panauti
Triveni Ghat near Panauti at the confluence of the Punyamata Khola (river) and the Lilawati (or Roshi) Khola. A third river, the invisible Padmabati river, is said to join these two streams at this point.
During Maghe Sankranti (being observed at the beginning of the holy month of Magh) devotees take holy dips at Triveni Ghat.
Once in every 12 years Makar Mela (the biggest mela of Nepal) is being celebrated.
It is believed that during Makar mela, taking a holy bath at Triveni Ghat will wash all the sins and cure some skin diseases.
