Machhapuchhre from Sarangkot

Machhapuchhre (or Fishtail mountain) and Annapurna range from Sarangkot

This photo has been taken just outside Sarangkot. In the front a pill of firewood and a haystack. In the middle the valley where the Seti river is flowing and in the background the mighty peaks of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna.

Dudh Pokhari Gokyo Nepal

Dudh Pokhari Gokyo

Gokyo is a tiny village of mainly guest houses at an altitude of 4,750 meters. From Gokyo you can hike up to Gokyo Ri (5.357 meters) with spectacular views of the Himalaya, the Ngozumpa glacier and Mount Everest.

Gokyo Ri, Everest Region

Gokyo Ri is a 5357 metres high peak in the Khumbu region (Everest Region) of the Nepal Himalayas. Gokyo Ri is located west of the Ngozumpa glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal and north of the hamlet of Gokyo.

This girl was running the shop of her family, but wasn’t able to count very well. She gave us too much change. After we tried to make her clear she made a mistake she gave even more change. When we refunded her the excess, she laughed shyly with her beautiful smile.

Kagbeni is a village in Upper Mustang in the Himalayas, located at an altitude of 2840 meters. It’s about two hours trekking from Jomsom.
